Moilas Oy’s greenhouse gas emissions decreased in 2025
Moilas Oy’s climate work progressed according to plan in 2025. The company successfully reduced its combined scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 24.4% compared to the 2024 baseline year. Scope 3 emissions also decreased by 0.4% compared to 2024.
The downward trend in emissions was mainly driven by:
- reduced energy consumption through improved production efficiency and lower levels of waste
- a lower electricity emission factor
Moilas Oy is committed to the international Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which helps companies set science-based climate targets in line with the Paris Agreement. Moilas aims to reduce its absolute scope 1 and scope 2 emissions by 42% by 2030 from the 2024 baseline, while also measuring and reducing scope 3 emissions. The 2025 emissions measurement results show that the work is progressing in line with the company’s climate targets. Climate action will continue as part of Moilas’ long-term sustainability work and continuous production development.
